My Mission: I believe that everyone is unique and has the ability to achieve self-actualization. I provide a non-judgmental environment for the clients to express any issues and concerns. I hope to help people find their strengths that will enable them to cope with stress and overcome obstacles.

My Focus: My focus is working with children who are struggling with their lives. I enjoy working with children and I believe that building relationship is the main priority.

My Experience: I have worked with variety of clients, including children, teens, and adults. I have also led and co-led the group for children at the school setting. Additionally, I work at a non-profit agency that serves victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

My Technique: Because I believe that a client’s self-awareness is key to developing self-direction and independence, my counseling practice will be guided by Person-Centered Therapy. My approach will provide you with methods to solve problems utilizing your own strengths. Additionally, I may use other approaches such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness practice and expressive arts to help facilitate your progress in counseling.

About me: I was born and raised in Taiwan. I am trilingual in English, Mandarin Chinese, and Taiwanese. I came to the US for pursuing my master’s degree in Fall 2017. I like and enjoy living in Texas so far. I like working with children and I also teach Mandarin Chinese at the Chinese school every Saturday. In my free time, I enjoy cooking for a whole week meal and trying out different recipes.

My Education: I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Counseling Psychology at the Chinese Culture University in Taipei, Taiwan. I am pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. I already completed Graduate Certificate of Play Therapy at SHSU.
