Getting Started
GLAD YOU ARE HERE
It is common for people to feel nervous or unsure about coming to counseling, especially if they have never sought this kind of help before. We want to make the counseling process as comfortable and effective as possible. We are happy to answer any questions that may arise before and during the counseling process. We look forward to meeting with you and expect positive outcomes! The following is some preliminary information that will help you get started.
FIRST STEPS THAT SAVE YOU TIME
Many people contact Renewing Hope Counseling with a therapist in mind who they would like to see. You may have a name from an insurance referral, or a personal referral. If this is the case, then you may contact our office at 713-365-0700 to set your first appointment. Once your appointment has been made, we will send you (electronically) the needed forms to fill out. Doing this ahead of time will enable you to spend your first session focusing on counseling goals, rather than filling out paperwork. Counseling sessions last 45-60 minutes, so plan accordingly.
If you have not yet chosen a therapist, then you can read about each individual on this website, or contact our office with any questions you may have about choosing one who is appropriate for your needs.
HOW DO I PAY?
Next, you will need to decide what form of payment you will be using. All payments are due at the time services are rendered. If you will be using insurance to cover some of the costs of counseling, we will assist you in contacting your insurance company to find out what your mental health benefits will cover, and specifically, what your deductible or co-payment will be for your sessions.
WHERE WE ARE
You will arrive for your first appointment at 11777 Katy Freeway, Suite 350. We are located in the back (South) building. Our building is located on the south side feeder road of I-10 between Dairy Ashford and Kirkwood. The building and our offices are wheelchair accessible. You may park for free in the front lot. As you enter the building, you will take the glass elevator to the fourth floor. Once you enter suite 350, notify the office staff that you have arrived and have a seat in the comfortable waiting area we have provided.
