My Mission: My mission is to provide you with a safe space where you can be heard, self-reflect on your past and current worries and achieve and attain your goals in therapy and in life. My goal is to help you make changes by empowering you to find happiness, fulfillment and meaning. Improving coping skills, identifying your strenghts, and promoting social, emotional and behaviorial growth is all a part of your personal development.  In my work, I honor the worth, dignity and potential of those I meet and help.

My Experience: I am a High School Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate as recognized by the Texas Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors. I have been certified as an anxiety and stress management specialist and a certified trauma and resilience practitioner. I have worked in Education for almost 30 years and enjoy connecting with our young people and their families by being someone who listens non-judgmentally and cares. I meet my students where they are and collaborate with them and their parents to infuse wellness, stability and hope. Life can feel hard at times, emotions can feel strong and self esteem sometimes not as strong. We will work together using compassion to move forward, find peace, and to improve all aspects of day to day life.

About Me: I am very lucky to have two fantastic daughters and two (soon 3!) granddaughters to love. Being a Granny brings me so much joy. I grew up in Scotland and have experienced working and living here, in Canada, in Sweden and in Germany. I love learning new perspectives and seeing new places. In my free time I like to garden, read and spend time with friends and family.
