MY MISSION:  To help you build healthy relationships with family, friends, God, and others. To inspire hope and to help you live more intentionally. To provide a safe space to explore self, relationships with others, and challenges you face in life. To identify strengths, build self-esteem/self-confidence, and set goals. To share compassion and empathy as the therapeutic relationship is based on trust for healing and growth to take place. To assist you as you develop coping strategies to deal with the many challenges we face in life.

MY FOCUS:  To help children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families achieve mental, emotional, physical, social, moral, and spiritual health to be able to meet the many challenges we experience in life. My formal education and experience allow me to provide counseling at any stage of life.

MY EXPERIENCE:  I have been in private practice for many years after retiring as a School Psychologist, where I provided psychological services in public schools.  I provide counseling to people aged 10 through people in their 90s.

MY TECHNIQUE:  I use a variety of techniques customized to your needs. I approach counseling from a Spiritual worldview, while respecting each person’s unique spiritual journey. My theoretical approach is Eclectic: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Informed, Brief Solution Focused, Family Systems, Eye Movement and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and Play Therapy are the most commonly used.

ABOUT ME:  My husband of 40 plus years and I loved raising our 5 children and now spend time enjoying our 5 grandchildren. Travel and reading are my passions. We have been active at BridgePoint Bible Church since before we were married. I consider myself a lifelong learner and attend many continuing education classes each year to stay current in my field.
